    Code:
    attrib +S +H path-to-file
Run that from an elevated prompt and it will no longer be visible.
I suspect OP has hidden system files unhidden in explorer view chasing the last byte removable.

I've got the same problem with only hidden files visible and it reoccurs on every upgrade.

It's 3.5MB. Reckon it's best to leave it then? I can hide it. Still don't get why it has 5KPlayer attached to it though. Not unless it became kind of corrupt due to the upgrade or something. Just worried it's malware or a virus, even though system is clean.

And yeah, I have show hidden files ticked. Also, if I untick the box, my memory card reader drives disappear. Not that I ever use them, mind. Lol.

As long as you don't have system files visible it should work.

    Hi,

I suspect a registry key is toggled the wrong way. Which one I have no clue.
    Very helpful, right? LOL.

Yes, ntuser.dat is the user portion of the registry. While Windows is running this file is locked for exclusive access and cannot be deleted. Like all modern operating systems Windows10 is very complex and things are often not what they seem. Guesses you might make will often be wrong. When something will not delete that is usually an indication that it shouldn't be. As in the real world this can usually be forced, if you apply enough force. But then things tend to break.

Unless you really understand what you are doing you should not delete files or folder that you did not explicitly create.

I always run hidden files ticked to show but not hidden system files unless I specifically need that for some reason.

You mean you don't see its drive letter in explorer, right ?
    Because it's empty perhaps ?
If that's the case in Explorer view check view empty drives and it should appear in "This PC"

This is very strange I was looking for another folder in my users folder and I noticed that my NTUSER.DAT file is labeled as type 5KPLAYER.DAT same as the op.
I uninstalled 5kplayer a while ago cause I feared it had malware/virus or something so to see my registry users file (ntuser.dat) is labeled as 5kplayer type is kind of unnsettling. I wish someone could check theirs and tell us what it says in the type column for that file? I would like to change it back to what it is suppose to be if possible. Any ideas anyone?
OP what did you do about this issue?
