    Yes.
    Use Linux.
    Don't use the anniversary upgrade.
    Use Windows 7 or 8...

I noticed this issue too after upgrading to v1607. I personally prefer the centred text but if this is a change by Microsoft and not a bug then I would like the option of displaying it as it was before. It doesn't look quite right when it is left-justified but that might be just from having got used to the text always being centred across Windows XP, Vista, 8/8.1 and 10 v1511.

Please give feedback to MS on this. The text wrapping as it does e.g.
    PC
    Maintenanc
    e Files

    is messy.

MS's policy seems to be to progressively reduce appearance options.

Seen by MS support in report here:

Recommendation to turn to spirits for consolation here:
Folders/Files names are aligned to the left after the anniversary update? : Windows10

I guess if you look further on the web you may find sthg more recent..
Still happens if I disable qttabbar completely.

How long can it take to put something back the way it was?

3 years and a new OS (e.g. the Start Menu).

Didn't notice at first because I use Tiles as default view for folders (default left justified) and the Desktop looks fine with its centered names under the icons.

Yesterday as I tried to rename a file, the text field centered itself according to the tile width and that drove me up the wall. Short filenames will move to right, to center themselves, long filenames will move to the left and overlap the icons, it's absolutely disgusting.

And to think I was happy with no Windows Update warnings pestering me to grab the Anniversary update, until I did a manual update check...

Please, let me join the group waiting for a fix.
