    Hi there

I always have mine in Detail view so this doesn't bother me at all

In any case I prefer the arrangement from Dolphin -- KDE (Linux) desktop file explorer display in Alphabetical groups - much easier than a load of folders as in your picture. (Actually another nice feature in this one is that it can compare directories (what's in A and not in B and vice versa - useful when moving /copying files). compare files (binary or source) and doesn't have the long directory+ file name problem (max 260 chars in Windows).

    For example Music :

Much easier to read and navigate than a desktop showing all those folders all over the pace.
Also at bottom slider too zoom text and display too so icons and text can be re-sized at will.

Of course people have their own preferences as they say YMMV but I for one would much rather Ms fixed the 260 character limitation on directory + file name problem -- if you have loads of say unusual / specialized music files with quite long descriptive tags it's a real pain to have to rename etc when using Windows for moving / copying them. I still use the Linux VM for that as there's no restriction on those systems as to file length.

    Cheers

Missed the stage where both cats were bashing the window...
(Recall- left justification is fixed for me with Qttabbar)

Just noticed this in a folder that is NOT set to "Details". Most of my folders show up that way, so I didn't see this before.

I have no idea what Qttabbar (?) is, so that's not involved here.

As earlier in the thread, left justified text is only noted as far as I've read or seen with medium and large icons.
(A Web search for Qttabbar will tell you it's freeware and what it does- adds tabs and options to explorer); reading this thread will have told you that having it installed resolves this issue (for me). Note: I had it installed before the upgrade- don't know if that makes any difference). I.e. it's a fortuitous workaround, not a cause as you seem to be assuming.

I have this problem too and I got it when my windows 10 got updated to this blasted anniversary bugged crap that everybody has been having loads of problems with.
I even tried to install the latest version of windows 10 from scratch and I still get it.
My girlfriend has this problem too on her notebook.

I swear Microsoft is pushing Alpha builds on us nowadays.
I bet my ass that this update sucks because they had a very short deadline to meet, because it's called anniversary and it's supposed to come out after 1 year of windows 10...
If somebody finds a registry key or some hack that can fix this justified icon text problem, I will thank him very much.

Hi - have you noted above I've said I don't have this problem with qttabbar (Quizo) installed - and if I disable it I do - so for me, Qttabbar is a successful workaround. Are you saying you've tried it and it doesn't work for you? Or are you hoping for a different fix?

I'm using "Classic Shell Toolbar" and i can't install qttabbar at the same time. There should be another way to fix this "left justified text" problem.

    please help

I have both installed.. what do you perceive as the problem? (I don't have classic shell's toolbar enabled normally).

    Other approach:
    a. give feedback to MS (See Store, Feedback hub)
    b. Comment on MS's technet site

Microsoft Support Engineer said that they are aware of this issue and working on it.
Yashwanth Kotakuri: "Our team is working on this issue to fix it with future updates."
Personally I'm living with this issue for a few months as Insider, so it's not a big deal for me. We just have to wait a bit.

    Confirmed - QTTabBar centers text.
