Wacom tablet stuck on left-click, and video players lag

    Hey all,
    Just upgraded to Windows 10.

My Wacom pen table is working quite well, but on video editing programs (After Effects, PowerDirector) the computer thinks that when I click something I am actually dragging, and I can't release the drag once started, without a regular mouse which I seldom use.

Windows Media Player cannot play a video from the beginning, only from about after 2 seconds (the beginning is always lagging/black/playing sound but not video).
QuickTime has the same problem + using "Open file..." always gets the program stuck completely.
VLC cuts the last second of a video.

(I wish I could have gone back to Windows 7 just as easily as I upgraded, but I can't find the disc and I'm afraid of losing data)

    Any ideas?
    Thanks much,
    Carmel

It would not change anything going back to 7 when it is a easy fix. You need to remove the Wacom device and drivers from Device Manager, along with any associated software. Then see if things go back to normal after rebooting with the Wacom not connected to your computer. If you are still having issues, you are going to have to track it down to each piece of software that could be causing problems. The video problems could be due to resource hogging, which you need to look at Task Manager, or go to microsoft.com and download Process Explorer to look at the Sub-process to try and nail it down to the exact cause of your problem.

Really for any further help, you need to fill out your System Spec's with everything that it asks for on that screen.

Yes! Updating the drivers fixed it! Thanks much!
WMP works better now, but I'll have to look into the others. DriverRiviver showed me I have some more drivers to update.

    But another problem still!
Everywhere that there's an "open file" button, clicking it will freeze that program, even if it's the internet.

    Thanks again.
(When I signed in here I wasn't sure about the terms in the system spec page, but now I can't find how to go back there)

Please do not use any of these so called driver websites. The majority of them are laden with malware that gets installed into the zip file that you download.

    Oh no, really?
On your first message the word "driver" was highlighted with a link to their website, so I thought that it was either you either the forums doing so automatically. Weird...
    but thanks for the heads-up!

I never posted any links to any websites. Words that are highlighted, is because you are not blocking anything that can point you to bad websites that could cause you to be infected. Again do not just click on random highlighted words in posts or do a search for websites that offer drivers. Always download them from the mfg of the hardware or chipset.

    First time encountering that!
I always that it was controlled the website.
I'll learn for the next time...
But yeah, the driver that I downloaded was from the manufacturer's website.
