How do I get a screenshot of start menu?

I would like to get a screen shot of the start menu. I tried it with the Snipping Tool but when I click on the Snipping Tool, the start menu closes. I have build 10074.

Press PrtScn with Start open, then open Paint and press CTRL+V to paste the screenshot in. Then crop it to suit.

    1. Run snipping tool ( If screen appears grayed out, press ESC, if not continue step 2.)
    2. Click to open the start menu
    3. Hold CTRL and press print Screen. Screen will appear grayed out, ready to capture.

NOTE: This will work with all popup menus ie. Windows Menu, Context menu etc...

How to capture the Start Menu By aroms on

    Start Menu captured!

We discovered a handy little tip for the snipping tool over at Microsoft. If you have ever wanted to ‘snip’ the Start Menu or capture a drop down item list then just follow these simple steps
    1) Start the Snipping Tool
    2) Press ‘Esc’ or click the Cancel button in the tool to cancel the current snip or capture
    3) Open the Start Menu or the drop down list you wish to capture
    4) Now the important step, press the CTRL + Prnt Scrn keys simultaneously
    5) You will notice that your screen goes into ‘snip’ mode i.e. it greys out, yet the menu or drop down still appears
    6) Now you can snip away capturing your image as normal
It may seem counter-intuitive to use the CTRL + Prnt Scrn keys as this action will normally copy a screen shot to the clipboard but of course you will still have to crop/edit that image in an image processing tool.
This method allows you to crop the image straight away and then of course have all of the edit functionality of the Snipping Tool itself.

Works for start screen in windows 8 too!

Hmmmm, that opens a Bing search for 'Windows 10' for me - not what I expected ... snipping tool opens a Bing search, but then again, I'm running the pure bleeding Edge browser (IE 11 turned off in Features).

I'll try Cliff S's suggestion next (the full screen / crop works)

Ctrl + PrtScn then New button to capture works here
    but
+ PrtScn gives me a full screen capture.

offTopic: When I was testing this, I went to capture All Apps, but ..... there aren't any ?

Thanks for this topgundcp as I have used the snipping tool a lot but could never figure how to capture pop up menus.
