    Hello Del 80, :)

Is this an issue with all .png files, or just the ones from the webcam?

What happens when you try to open the .png files? Any error messages?

Normally, you should be able to open them with the Photos app by default.

It sounds like the files may be corrupted.

As a test, see if saving one of them to your desktop and/or renaming the file may allow you to open it afterwards.

Tried what you said Brink......still the same........I wondered if it was because they were from a live webcam, and were being blocked........but have opened them before.....strange.

You'd think that wouldn't be an issue if you saved the images to your desktop though.

As a workaround for now, are you able to capture screenshots of the live cam while viewing it to use instead?

Yes, I can take snapshots from the live webcam, and save them to the desktop........the problem occurs when I try to open them, to post onto F.B.........I have definitely done it before, because a snapshot from the same source was my F.B. profile picture, although that may have been when I was using W 8.1......I can not open them at all......tried paint, photos and windows photo viewer........also cannot convert them, using cool utils, although not sure if that is possible or not.........annoying more than anything.

Odd. Are you taking screenshots using option 1?

Brink, yes option 1 works fine as a workaround......I have to press ctrl + print scrn......thanks for that, I wonder why it won't work as normal ?

What were you using to take screenshots with? It may be something it's doing.
