Complex font typing in PPP - reply to

in M.S. office word this problem does not occurs. in auto correct, there is an option "sequence checking" in word. i f we disable it, normal tamil typing can be made without any problem. but in ms office 2010 POWER POINT there is no option such as SEQUENCE CHECKING. SO THIS PROBLEM OCCURES.

    THIS IS THE LINE IN TAMIL: அம்மம்மா எப்படி இருக்கிறாய். APPEARS LIKE அம்ம்ம்மா எப்படி இருக்கிறாய்.

needs support to correct the above.

The 3rd character should not have the accent mark ...

The only reference I could find that seemed helpful:

How to Enable Sequence Checking and Type and Replace for Thai, Hindi and Vietnamese Office Global Experience

In Microsoft Office, the typing order rule is called Sequence Checking. It allows you to type a valid sequence of independent characters to form valid character clusters.

Closely related to this is another rule called Type and Replace. This rule deletes the previous character and replaces it with a new character within the same group of characters. For example, if you enter a vowel that can replace the previous vowel according to the Sequence Checking rule, Type and Replace will delete the previous vowel and replace it with the new vowel.

Most Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Access, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.) have Sequence Checking and Type and Replace rules automatically set after setting the default language to Thai, Hindi or Vietnamese. This helps prevent dotted circles from ever appearing in your documents.

Some of these applications (Word, Publisher and Outlook) also give you the flexibility to turn these rules on or off to give you full control of how you want your text to look.

[/QUOTE= the link IN YOUR REPLY shows word, publisher and out look only. there is no details to found "Sequence Checking" in office 2010 POWER POINT. MY PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED ONLY IF SEQUENCE CHECKING IS DISABLED FOR TAMIL LANGUAGE IN POWER POINT.

Aha! You want to DISABLE Sequence Checking in Powerpoint.

    I posted the link:

to show Sequence Checking is automatically enabled in PowerPoint - not what you want
to suggest that Type and Replace rules might be a place to look.

Since PowerPoint doesn't let you change Sequence Checking through it's settings, is there a global setting in the Microsoft Office launcher?

If there isn't a way to change it though MSO, then you're going to have to find a registry modification.
Look at the Word entries to see if there is Sequence Checking defined - copy it
If there isn't , you might have to change the setting in Word first, then look in the registry

then look at the PowerPoint entries to see if there is Sequence Checking
    - if there is you can set the value
    - if there is not - you can paste the key you copied form Word

[/ Thank you. i am not an advanced user. i don't want to try the registry etc. to my knowledge i know that the sequence checking option is not available in auto correct etc.

in type and replace we can enter only one character or word or sentence. but while typing there are lot of different words will appear. so i think type and replace will not be useful]
