    Start Button Unresponsive

My start button and Windows key frequently become unresponsive. The only thing I can do is sign out and sign back in or restart manually. This happens at least once a day, and I'm getting really tired of it. It seems to have started after the last version of Windows 10 was installed. How can I fix this?

There is a troubleshooter tool, check that one.

I ran the troubleshooter, but it couldn't find the problem.

In that case, please consider the next two options of the page as well.

    What other two options? Where?

Here, as mentioned in post #2 earlier: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...t-menu-cortana

    These two options:

You mean reset my PC as in return it to factory settings? If so, that seems a little drastic, don't you think. And I don't see why a new administrator account would fix the problem of an unresponsive start button. The problem lies in Windows 10 itself, and there needs to be an update to address this bug.

When this happens while I'm viewing a website, everything on the screen freezes and I have to close it up and sign out and sign back in. Very frustrating! It just happened a minute ago.

I can neither address a bug nor fix it, mate. I just can say what we can do to get rid of the issue within the prevailing situation.
