On my main desktop with all my games, I'm letting it upgrade.

I have Defer Upgrade on my two desktop but the laptop is Home version and it will get upgraded first and see what happens.
If that one goes well I will upgrade the desktops. Will probably do a clean install on all of then at a later date.

I don't see the point of not upgrading, being insider I already have 99% of it. All that's left now is ironing few wrinkles until August 2nd. If it's working now, no reason it wouldn't work even better when finished.

I'll let my spare running the current insider build auto update. My laptop too likely, its running 10 Pro 10586.420. I haven't decided yet what I will do on my desktop PC. It's running education. I will do at least one clean install for testing purposes.

I'll let my PC upgrade as soon as the Anniversary Release is available. Then convert the .esd to an .iso and do a clean install.

Currently running build 14385 and I'm finding it much faster and more stable than the 1511 release. My feeling is that at this stage it will only get even better.

    Thanks for the reply.

I actually already have 'defer upgrades' selected... although I wasn't aware of being able to defer updates though, as that was always one of the big moans about W10.

So come early August, will the anniversary update/upgrade install on this PC or not ? That's really what I'm trying to find out :)

My Windows 10 doesn't offer the "Defer upgrades", or "Learn more". I have Home Premium.

No matter what we and MS calls them but all those "updates" for insiders that change build number are actually upgrades because they are full builds that could be used for clean installation. So the official, August version can be both update and upgrade depending how you do it. If you just update existing installation, than it's an update that upgrades your system to new version.

Thanks Mike :) I didn't carry on with the insider builds, I was happy with the stable public release

I wonder... as it seems this will be a 'biggie' file size download, will we notice it downloading in the days before in preparation for deployment.

Anyways... not long to see how it all unfolds.

It still going to be same size as all those updates we had as insiders, about 4GB. They must have upgraded their servers because downloads somehow manage to be faster than my allocated bandwidth of 10Mbps. Should be fast enough, can't guarantee for painless.

Me again. Well. An hour ago I was notified of an upgrade/update and was asked if I wanted it delayed to a time and date of my choosing, or did I want to install it now. Home Premium is supposed not to offer any choice !! I chose to have it installed it immediately.
