how to set Run as Administrator on cmd.exe?

I can set in the compatibility box of properties 'Run as administrator' checkbox for most programs, I cannot find the checkbox for cmd.exe?
How can I get an icon on my desktop which will always open cmd.exe as admin by default?

    Figured a way around

    Ok,, this worked for others:
Copy cmd.exe from windows\system32 to for example c:\cmd.exe

Then you can right click on cmd.exe and the compatibility mode tab is there, check run as admin, done., you'll have to change paths to get it to find, it.
I think it might be possible to change ownership of cmd.exe to yourself, then assign all privs to yourself, then do this in place.

    Figured it out

Ok, so the goal is to get cmd.exe in the windows\system32 to run as admin by default.

This is critical as many tools I use spawn cmd.exe to do their work in the c root and elsewhere

    p.s. I'm a developer of 35 years....

So way to do it is, grab ownership of cmd.exe, rename it to cmdorig.exe
Then make a shortcut to cmdorig.exe on the desktop, give it Admin rights....
Now copy the shortcut INTO the windows\system32 folder and rename is cmd.exe

Now whenever anything runs cmd.exe (from windows\system32), it'll run the cmdorig.exe as admin.

Man they make it hard to make a living.
