How to add C drive to taskbar?
I'm trying to add a link for the root of the C drive to my task bar.
I tried creating a link to C, then right clicking, nothing comes up saying pin to taskbar??

You can right click the C: drive and choose Pin to Quick Access, or Pin to Start and then drag the shortcut to the Taskbar.
I pin to quick access and drag to taskbar it doesn't work??!
It says 'pin to file explorer' whatever that is, it never shows a link in the taskbar to the C root??
File Explorer is the new name for Windows Explorer (eg) the yellow folder on the task bar, there is already a shortcut for C: in File Explorer and This PC
- Open This PC, Right click on C drive and hold down, drag to desktop->Create Shortcuts here
- Right click on desktop shortcut->Pint to start
- From start Menu->Right click on C drive->More->pin to taskbar
- Delete the short from desktop, unpin from start Menu
NOTE: The shortcut is stored under:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
User is your real user name
However, you cannot directly create a shortcut to this folder, won't work.
