Depends on what you are going to use it for.

    Compare Windows 10 Editions

For the additional $300 you are going to pay to have a legally licensed/activated copy of Enterprise, do you REALLY need the extra features? There will not be any performance increase.

I mean I can get any version for free, so it doesn't really matter to me, but thank you for the info.

I have both. I guess it depends on what you will use it for, but I find very little difference for a normal user. If you were going to be using it to administer a large group of computers, Enterprise would be a good way to go. But, IMO anything else, just get the Pro.

One thing you might want to consider then. Look at the free upgrade offer to Windows 10. Does it apply to Enterprise versions of Windows 7/8/8.1? Nope. So if there is a follow-on to Windows 10 sometime in the far future (like Genisys [Skynet]), it will probably be easier/cheaper to upgrade a Windows 10 Pro to whatever comes next than a Windows 10 Enterprise.
