I will upgrade to W10 at least one of my machines. My favorite right now: Windows 8.1. I won't upgrade from day one, probably I will let about 3 months pass before upgrading.
I like the way W10 is heading and will UPGRADE my present OS.
I like W10 but would ONLY consider a clean install.
It's been fun but I will not be using W10 as my main OS in the near future.
W10 is my favourite OS.
W8.1 is my favourite.
W8 is my favourite.
W7 is my favourite.
Vista is my favourite.
XP is my favourite.
Another such as OSX or Linux.

It may be a good idea to wait till all of the bugs are ironed out.
It has been great reading all your thoughts and comments. And thanks to all who have voted, it makes for interesting reading. Seems Vista and Eight are unloved.
The poll (which is open for two weeks from the start date) is quite revealing (hope you are you watching Microsoft :)). The option of clean installing is going to be important to many and in fact just a few moments ago I was reading over on Ten Forums of a W10 upgrade that had gone amiss after running all night.
Thanks. I have been using image backups for a long time. Right now I'm using Macrium v. 6 Server edition. I've used Macrium since 4.x also EaseUS ToDo Backup and Paragon Drive Backup. This Laptop has been a dog afa even running a Restore Point. I think I had one run in 5 minutes or less same as on a desktop. The rest have hung and after 20 minutes I gave up and held down the power button.
Just now I turned off Fast Booting hoping that fixes it. I have to try a Restore Point and see if runs normally. Not looking forward to it. :)
I'm not reluctant because I don't know how to fix my PC. I'm reluctant because I know what can go wrong with it. :)
For years I had 2 desktops on a router. If one machine got hosed I could always get on the other to download what I needed to fix it up. But with only one system it's not so easy to bail yourself out if disaster happens.
One of my laptops will be running Windows 10 with clean install. My main Windows machine right now is running Windows 7, and I plan to keep that around for at least a while longer, and I will probably convert my Windows 7 VM on my Mac to Windows 10.
