"Yeah sure, ya betcha". Up here we talk like Ole and Lena. Or so we were depicted in the movie "Fargo".

You should hear my daughter mimic Minnesotans! She's so funny! I have a granddaughter who had lived there for some years.

I think the accent is most prevalent with native Minnesotans, who come from a Scandinavian background, like myself.

I've heard "bite the bullet" all my life, Miles. To me it means, "I may not like it, it ain't gonna be fun, but it's something that's gotta be done."

Which is what I did with letting Build 10041 update to Build 10049, although from statements in this forum, I absolutely knewit wasn't going to be any fun! I am well past that now, and I'm glad I did it. Now I'm ready for the next Windows 10 Build that Microsoft drops.
OTOH I was reading if I do upgrade to 8.1 with things intact perfrmance may be lousy. I don't think I have the means to take sufficient advantage of 8.1 improvements to justify a wipe and reinstall type of scenario. If I'm going to go through all that I may as well put W7 Pro on as I have a license for it.

O.k. people, ya'll gotta r'member(good dialect huh?) No matter how well people on this forum speak or write English, not everyone is from America or Great Britten and understand our idioms.
Ordinarily I would agree. But I didn't get the impression the person was truly in the dark. Perhaps darkly sarcastic. Which is fine if there's a laugh in there somewhere.
