    Well I watched the video on how to uninstall apps BUT those are easy ones to uninstall. How about telling me how to uninstall that app called Xbox??? I am 65 years old and have no need for Xbox.....or all the Xbox files in the registry.

    Kinda hacks me off that Microsoft thinks I should have an XBox account for a simple collection of Solitaire games. Sheesh!

    Very nice!

    The script on Youtube has an error though

    Line 2:
    set objShell = CreateObject("shell.application")

    --> should be

    set objShell = CreateObject("shell.application")

    This is a very useful script, thanks to all who made it available.

    Script was correct but when copied from Notepad, YouTube presented the end quote as &quot. I had to remove the pasted code and type it directly on YouTube to get it correct.

    EDIT:

    Not working, for some reason YouTube changes the end quote to &quot.

    I added this note to video description:

    NOTICE PLEASE: For an unknown reason, some browsers show the above script code wrong. The error is at the end of line 2; it should be shell.application"), not shell.application&quot)!

    I thought YouTube might be helping you.

    I wonder if Youtube honors Preformatted text tags
    <pre>
    dim objShell
    set objShell = CreateObject("shell.application")
    objshell.ShutdownWindows
    set objShell = nothing
    </pre>

    I experimented a bit and found that you can also code a single quote (')

    set objShell = CreateObject('shell.application')

    or no quotation on the line
    set objShell = CreateObject(shell.application)

    There was a nice power icon (5952) in twinui.dll, but I couldn't find it on TP 525, I did extract it from a previous build though. It's white and only really useful on a dark background.

    twinui_5952 icon ->[pwrCycle] twinui_5952.ico
    looks good on a black Taskbar -> Windows Videos-pwrbtntaskbar.png

    I had to add cscript to the target to get it to show the icon correctly on the Taskbar

    cscript.exe C:\Users\Slartybart\scripts\pwrBtn.vbs

    Without cscript, the icon is windows scripting

    I also changed the shortcut to Run: Minimized so the Cmd prompt window does not flash when the shortcut is launched.

    @Kari, are you and the video team still looking for ideas for instructional videos?
    One idea might be, the answers I gave in this thread.
    They have also helped in Eight Forums too. That language indicator can nerve when you don't need it(it has a life of it's own/AI possibly?) , and it took me 2 1/2 months to figure out how to KILL IT. The searches for a solution always brought up how to hide, which only works until explorer restarts.
    Note this is good only if one uses one keyboard language and one different system language.
