simrick, you do know you can also add Reflect as a UEFI boot menu option under "other tasks"( in case of BSODs. or other boot problems). You may want to go to advanced setup after to set the how long at boot it appears(mine is set to 0 seconds, so it only appears when windows cannot boot). An yes I always keep Auto Restart off...:)

Since I would only be doing backup and restore, would there ever be a need for the "for pay" version?

If I need it, although the price is steep for a four-pack, I'd probably pay if need be.

In Macrium I have it scheduled so:

And created a shortcut(from the ribbon) to desktop.

    Windows Videos-image-001.png

This way, when I have an important software update or system change, I just double click and let Macrium run an "out of band" image.

Only if you have need for the Home editions extras such as incremental backups(like Windows 7 own imager does) if you don't have a lot of extra disk space(I have 1TB set aside on my 2nd internal disk) to contain a bunch of images, which are only a bit smaller than the size of the disk/partitions you backup. As I keep all my libraries on a 2nd internal I only need to image my system disk, my important stuff, is on OneDrive, protected from malware. If I get infected and need a fresh install(cleaning up after an infection is soooo passé!!!) I just have to resync.

I didn't understand half of what you said, Cliff, but that's OK. I gleaned enough to understand. How's that for an oxymoron!?

I keep all my files on an external hard drive. I have a couple of 500 GBs and one 1 TB. The HD in this machine is 1 TB, so I guess I'd have to use the 1 TB external for backup?
