    :)

YouTube is full of possibilities. An example: I have tonight tested, with the help from Steve, to stream a Ten Forums Live Chat to YouTube so that those who can't join can see the chat live in an embedded YouTube frame in a Ten Forums post. It worked perfectly, meaning that from now on our live chats will be streamed live to Ten Forums.

When we have the next chat Saturday next week, it will be shown live in the first post of the chat thread.

Another option for transitions of PPT slides in your Vid

First off, a big thanks to Kari for showing us how to make the videos to help others. Using what he has shown us I have found a few things while playing around.

I found another way to use transitions in the slide show that we present in our vids. Rather than taking screenshots of the slideshow to insert in Windows Movie Maker we can just use encoder to record the slide show. Here is a quick vid to show this. I think this will work better for me, and hope others will find it useful.

A good video, Dude. Thanks. Your narration had quite a low volume, had to turn volume up, but that's just a minor thing which can be fixed by the viewer by turning the knob :).

If you have the PowerPoint desktop app you can do the same directly in PowerPoint. Sorry but this can't be done in free PowerPoint App or PowerPoint Online:

Set the transition for each slide and set slideshow to advance to next slide automatically after set duration of each slide:

Save the slideshow as MPEG4 video:

The video can now be added / inserted in Movie Maker, Encoder or any other video editing program. This of course is a valid method when you have several text slides you will show in a row, but the screenshot method is IMO the best alternative if your video consists of several video sequences separated by one or two slides in between.

    Note   Note
Fellow video geeks, to keep this thread more a container for the videos made by our members, let's move the discussion about video making, tips, tricks, online instructional meetings and so on to another thread.

This video thread was and is meant to be a place for our members to post their self made Windows 10 videos, but as the thread has grown so has the interest to learn making the videos. We have shared a lot of tips and tricks, discussed about tools to use, even had a few online meetings to learn more together.

To keep this video thread in the future more for the videos our members have created, let's move the discussion about video making to another thread. When you have a video to post, come here and follow the guidelines given in the first post and post your video, when you want to discuss about the tools and techniques, share your tips or get help in video making, come and join us at https://www.tenforums.com/chillout-ro...versation.html

Will it work on Windows 8.1, Dude? I haven't had Windows 7 installed in several years.

Yes, works perfect on 8.1, W10 and W7. I mentioned Sevenforums only because we have a gathering in the Benchmark threads
