Here is a video on using the Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer (WICD) to create a clean installation set to deploy windows to a new computer.
The tool allows desktop software to be included within that deployment, and that software will also stay installed after a Reset, if it is installed this way. (Normally a Reset will remove desktop software.)
It's more of an investigation/ walkthrough than a tutorial, as I don't claim to understand all of it, but hopefully it may be helpful to someone. Be warned it's quite long (a little over 30 mins).
