Windows 10 start menu or search wont open

    Windows 10 start menu or search wont open


    well even one build ago (im now on windows build 10051) after a while the start menu wont open and the new search also wont open. i cant even check id modern apps work because powershell is giving me a error.
    im running sfc /scannow atm so ill report back.

    You have got to get rid of that. I won't attempt to repair a non-official release.
    Go back to 10041 or wait for 10049 ISO. All your problems will disappear. Don't even attempt to upgrade that to the next build. You will just waste your time.

    EDIT.

    Btw, I do have 10051 too but I just mess around with it. I don't use it to replace 10049. I have them installed separately.

    no but the issue was in the old 10049, thats why i was forced to upgrade thinking that installing a new build would reinstall the apps too and fix issues, but they just carried over

    Bottom line, clean install is the easiest solution and 10051 will not fix anything. You are just making the problem worse by upgrading to non-official build.
    I fixed my problems doing a clean install of 10041 and then upgraded to 10049.
    If you are going to insist on keeping 10051, I doubt anyone can help you.
