missing media keys symbols

    I think the file where these media signs are stored is corrupt as the effect can be seen on other programs (some) as well . today I opened another app and the arrow signs are replaced by boxes. see the attached picture.

    Try this:
    DISM - Repair Windows 10 Image - Windows 10 Forums
    Steps 1-5

    Then run SFC / Scannnow in the Command Prompt (Admin)

    Restart the machine

    If that didn't help - you might want to run Dsim with step 6 or step 7 of the tutorial depending on the source (wim or esd)

    I've seen similar with a program where all the features didn't show up until an associated file was opened in the program. Another thing that comes to mind is the possibility those circled boxes would normally be the top and bottom of the vertical scroll bar. Might be an issue with the video/display adapter.

    Launch Windows Store
    Click the User icon (next to the search box)
    missing media keys symbols-msstoreusr.png
    Select Downloads and Updates
    Press the Check for updates button
    Select Update all
      My Computer
