Windows 10 Uses Up 99% Of RAM and PC Gets Choppy

So I've had this problem for about as long as I can remember, almost as long as Windows 10. For a while uTorrent was causing this problem, but it was fixed with a Nvidia driver update. I believe it fixed it, but not sure. The uTorrent problem was a little different though because you'd see it eating up all the memory and then the computer would crash and become unresponsive. This is different. Now, when I look in Task Manager it says 99% memory usage, but it just says system and compressed memory. I read that it was Windows 10 Superfetch and I've closed it down. Now sure that will work or not, but have read from a lot of people that it didn't work for them. It's not a virus, I know that. I've got 32GB of RAM too.

I did read on Reddit where someone said something about it being an Nvidia capture driver and Shadowplay. Shadowplay isn't even enabled right now, but I am wondering if it has something to do with Nvidia and I feel like that might be true, but if it is, what can I shut down to fix that problem? This seems to happen when the computer has been on for a while, but sometimes it happens only after a few hours. If anyone has any ideas as to what's causing this I'd appreciate it if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

The best suggestion I could give you is a when you use utorrent make sure I when your download is complete you remove the item that you downloaded from utorrent and if you go down to the task view on the taskbar make sure that utorrent is not still running

Thanks for the reply. How would removing the item that I downloaded have anything to do with uTorrent if the task is closed though. If uTorrent is closed the torrent would be closed as well, wouldn't it?

Windows is not eating the RAM. Most likely it is the Torrent Program. You need to look at the processes in Task Manager with the highest use memory process at the top.

Superfetch needs to stay on. Turning it off will causes problems.

It is possible that there is a malware process acting under the name of a normal one.

You are going to have to run a Mlware Scan on the Machine .
