To the OP. First, Sorry for all the warm and friendly Welcome to Ten Forums you received for your first post. As I understand your post When Win 10 went RTM you upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and had nothing but problems. You then took it to 3 different people who were supposed to know what they were doing and they could only fix you problem by down grading back to Windows 7. Then your computer for what ever reason upgraded back to Windows 10. I'm not sure your saying your computer will boot and you only get a dark screen or or computer won't even turn on. If it's a dark screen I would try Edwin's suggestion and try a clean install with a Win10 ISO. There are How to guides on this forum. If the computer will not even start I would follow jimbo45's suggestion.

If you built that custom PC by yourself with state of the art components, you are responsible for manually installing the necessary drivers to make them work and to utilize every bit of features each hardware are designed to do. Windows 10 comes with universal/generic drivers to run even the most basic PCs. These drivers should work as-is but if they didn't work on yours, each hardware that you put together on your PC came with CDs or document with links to driver sources to make them work.
So you might hope. I have a new Asus Z170-A mother board. I did a clean install of Windows 10 64bit and there was no driver for the network adapter! I previously installed the Windows 10 32 bit but that was an upgrade to Windows 8.1 which already had the correct driver. The good news was that I did not have to enter a licence key, and the 64 bit version runs the Classic Start Menu OK.

Something I would have expected to be included on the Windows 10 64 stick (iso) so that it installed auotmatically and enable other drivers to be found.

I thought that it was widely known that HW manufacturers are supposed to supply drivers to MS to include them with Windows !!!!

No, no, no, no. Don't you notice that every PC component you purchase from store comes with a CD? That's the driver installer written specifically for specific hardware. But usually those are outdated so you have to go to manufacturer's site to download the latest ones.
    You obviously don't read manuals.

Hell half the time the supposed manuals with your $300 or more Motherboard looks like it was written by a 3 year old with ADD, or a hired chimp.

The rule is you never use the Discs that come with it, you grab the latest from the manufacturer website prior to installation.

If you stop and look at how many Motherboard manufacturers there are and how many chipsets each put out. Then look at low many boards of each chipset they put out, I think it is unreasonable to expect Microsoft to have drivers for every one. If you add in all of the graphics cards there are, Lan and wireless manufacturers, there are millions of combinations of hardware in a computer possible. No one could expect Microsoft to have drivers for every single combination possible.

There is a reason you can get drivers from the manufacturer's web sites. The hardware manufacturers are responsible for providing drivers for the products they manufacturer. Microsoft has done a good job of providing drivers that will work on most components in the majority of computers. But, they can only provide the drivers provided to them by the manufacturers. Microsoft is not responsible for providing drivers, the hardware manufacturers are. If you consider the millions of combinations of computer components out, you would have to say Microsoft has done an excellent job of providing drivers. Anything not provided, it is your responsibility to find from the manufacturer. To expect anything else is unreasonable.

I mentioned the manual because the basics is there including driver installation and where to get the drivers from.

The CD is useful if you are building a PC when there is no access to the internet which can be upgraded later on.
