    Welcome aboard.

What is the file extension to those files, by the way? Or, does it happen the same with all the file types?

You may try this: Thumbnail Cache - Clear and Reset in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

When you double click the files, are they open with the proper program?
What was the result of rebuilding thumbnail cache?
