    What steps should be taken to diagnose a Windows 10 start button not working?

    Hi, if your start menu fails to appear, try this:

    Option 4 - powershell command- this seems to be working again after having broken apps since November 2015.

    Use the search box above to search for
    start menu not working
    - many threads, look for any marked solved first off.

    No one is sure how this happens as far as I know.
