Yes. Delete the corrupt user account. It is no good to you anymore.
As to moving files and apps, I do not have a complete or better method.
Some one in this forum gave a very good method. Unfortunately I cannot find that answer.
What I would do is to copy the files from the corrupt account to an USB or an external hard drive. Then copy them back to the new account.
I have no answer to the apps. I would reinstall them.
The new user account is now having the problem, but more frequent. The event viewer now says:
The shell stopped unexpectedly and explorer.exe was restarted.
It's almost immediately after it recovers the problem starts up again.
Any way to find what's wrong with the user account?
Delete the corrupt user account means lose all lots of special settings and more.
Isn't it?
It's almost like installing the OS from scratch. :)
Any tools to find what went wrong with the current profile?
