I would need a 256 x 256 copy of the .png. I don't know what the actual icon looks like though. If you find it on google or bing images and post it here, I'll make the tile pack.

When you search use these parameters: Opera png 256 x 256 transparent

I need to go to bed now though, it's 10:50pm here, and I have to go to work tomorrow. So it'll be a bit, till I get back to you.

When ever you get some free time, here's one
    Start menu White box tile-opera.png
its 300x300 though, not sure if that's a problem

Ok. I'm supposing that the .exe file is called "opera"(all small letters) like the png is named.
Don't forget to open the zip files properties, and select unblock, then extract.
Follow the instructions above, about deleting the icon. and placing these 2 items in the same folder as the .exe file. Then repin using the .exe file.

    opera.zip

Here is an example with Firefox:
    Start menu White box tile-image-002.png

Have you received any definitive answer from Opera forum to solve the problem ?
I'd like to know the solution if there is one.
    Thank you.

    Nice! it worked!
Interestingly there already was a similar file probably from the installation.
    Start menu White box tile-operadefault.png
All the assets it was looking for are also in the right place
    Start menu White box tile-operadefault2.png
