Free leak- free peek- free fun for all
Now I'd like to haggle price!
I haven't seen a word yet on pricing for Win10 except it's free for owners of Win7 or Win8 and you make the change within one year of the final release date.
Now for the fine print..............
I own two copies of Win7 Pro. I have a retail product key for each.
Basic logic tells me that I will either use the same product keys to register my new copies of Win10 when the final hits the floor. .... or I will be required to surrender the Win7 keys to receive new Win10 keys?
Now, I install the final releases of Win10, my Win7 keys are gone, and my new installs will be supported for the life of the devices.
My devices are old Win7 machines. Life expectancy? Already several years old? Not forever for sure!
Now, for instance, 13 months after Win10 final is released my 64bit version of Win10 won't boot. Dead motherboard!
Woe is me! Alas! What to do???
MS said for the life of the device! The device is dead! The machine has to be replaced! So, I have no machine, no operating system, and no retail Product Key!
I think this is where I pay for the "free" upgrade to Win10?
If my understanding of this current situation is correct I'm swapping retail keys for keys essentially the same as current OEM keys.
The machine and OS live and die together!
Am I right?
