change Windows 10 drag files (icon/cursor size)

When I drag a file to move to a folder in Windows 10, the icon that shows is so large that it hides the folder name. I want to know how can I re-size the icon that shows, or remove it altogether? (I tried the Folder Option "always show icons and not thumbnails, but its not related). I need it to be like previous Windows behavior of that action. Thanks.

I don't think this can be done. This question has been asked in the passed and it's topic consensus was that it was not possible to do.
Links i'll refer you to read are:

Disable Large Icon when Drag/Drop Files to New Location - Page 2 - Windows 7 Help Forums
Huge icon at pointer during drag and drop (Explorer) - Page 5

in both cases the conclusion was : not possible

Note: for anyone reading this, one cause is using a modified theme - perhaps created with an older build.

Try restoring one of the default Windows themes in Settings.

I think it was fixed in later builds.. I currently have:

    Edition: Windows 10 Pro
    Version: 20H2
    OS build: 19042.928
Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

I just experienced this having upgraded from 1903 to 20H2... and had to redo my very slightly modified theme...

Dalchina, did you mean after an update (22H2 for me), you had to Reset your Desktop Theme to Default,
then start over with your Personalization?

I basically use Light and Personal Background, and hid a few Default Icons.
Atm, I just use Computer, Recycle Bin (bypassed but gets funky when hidden, iirc) and Network.

    Thanks

Too long ago, sorry.. but when I say theme. it's just a standard Windows theme with couple of small registry changes to change the background colour in e.g. Wordpad etc, and I think aerolite if I recall.
