All i was trying to say is that WEI wasnt as good as some people came to believe and it could of easily mislead people with little knowledge of computer hardware, because of this imo MS removing this feature isn't a bad thing.

hardware with massive real world performance difference would have similar scores.

for example a 3770k getting a higher score than a 3930k in WEI both at stock speed.

You don't read properly....The guy said one was on Windows 7 and the other was Windows 8. 7.9 is the highest on Windows 7 and 7.8 for a CPU and Windows 8 is 9.9. Although some disagree the WEI worked very well and if you have a powerful CPU it will show up without those lets give amd or intel a head start to make them look good with their crippled CPU's that the suckers pay $X00 for/ SARCASM.
I would have thought that the actual guys that write the OS know how to run tests on it and Direct X etc. If you run the CMD line version of the tool you can see what is being tested. Some testing programs are like I said in the previous paragraph favour particular forms of Video Cards and Processors over others. You never know who paid for what. The only way is to have the OS provider run a series of tests and come up with a number which you can use to judge your system. If your 3D score is 2.0 you are not playing games. If you 2D score is 7.0 your Word and Excel and web browsing is going to be quick.
That was the reason I asked Microsoft to return the function to Windows 10 and they declined saying we can use the third party tool. Linux Mint is looking better all the time........

What is good though (and quite remarkable) is that they managed to reply at all.

The only other place if seen them replying is if you click on the experimental console features link in the cmd prompt properties where they give a nice list of what they are planning to change (or not) and why. They have a much smaller product to deal with of course.

I wonder if the score in your Games folder is a true reading or if the feature is completely depreciated?
