Any other idea around, how to get my laptop from turning on every night ?
Auto updates are probably waking up your PC which is triggered by network adapters.

Try going to Device Manager>>> expand Network Adapters >>> right-click on the network device listed >>> Properties.
On the next window, go to Power Management tab and UNcheck "Allow this device to wake the computer".
No guarantee but worth a try because it solved my problem (desktop on hibernate waking up at 2am every update).

You might also change the Allow Wake Timers setting in the Advanced tab of the Power Plan settings

after a while of silence in the night, my laptop starts to regularly turn on in the night again.
Is there a specific log, readable for people without deeper knowledge, with daytime info, on what exactly caused the wake up of the laptop ?

    Hi,
I haven't looked through this thread but have you reviewed this some of the posts pointed to different things to do this might have other stuff to try
Change Automatic Maintenance Settings in Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials
Also look at the bottom of it for related tutorials.

10 also sort of uses peoples machines as MS servers so be sure to review your updates delivery options and turn off sending updates to others on the internet if activated.

Can you check if this wake up occurs exactly after 6 hours and 28 minutes. Me and another have this problem. You can read about it here windows 10 - After upgrade to Fall Creators Update, computer wakes after 6 hours 28 minutes when in hibernate - Super User

You can run powercfg /systempowerreport on an administrator command prompt cmd (click start, type cmd, right click cmd and choose run as admin. In the prompt type the command above. After that type in the resulting html and it will open in IE. You can see the times your computer woke up and went to sleep (and possible cause).

If it's exactly 6 hours and 28 minutes you have the same problem as us. We haven't found a solution or cause yet.
