    Windows 10 Problem/error reporter

Hello, recently ive seen windows problem reporter pop up in my process list, using some of my CPU.

I disabled it in registery and also in control panel, but the issue still persists.

I noticed this issues started happening a few days after I enabled XMP in my mbo settings, yet everything still runs stable, windows is just giving me these errors.

    When I check the logs, every single minute my computer is on (literally every minute), it gives me the same hardware error;

As seen here, it does this every single minute

How can I see what causes this issue?

    I run

    Windows 10 pro v1903 build 18362.959

    Intel Core i7 8700k

    ASUS ROG XCODE mbo

    2x gtx 1070

    32gb ram

    Thank you

Hi, the most helpful way of presenting screenshots and to get more people reading is to use the forum features thus:

    See:

    - same error code as yours: 3000040

as an example. The cause may not be immediately apparent.

IF there is a C:\Windows\memory.DMP OR in C:\Windows\minidump any xxxxxxxx.DMP files please post those so I can analyze them.

If you disable it, do you then have no such reports?

Hi, I just ran a .bat file I found on this forum that disables and deletes the corresponding .exe file of the windows error report tool. This fixed the problem of it using CPU every minute.

I also clicked the links and manually updated the intel driver and realtek driver network drivers.

I have three files in my minidump folder, I think they were of previous BSODs related to driver issues, I'll go ahead and post them. (attached file)

That's not fixing the problem. That stops Windows telling you about the problem.

The dxgmms2.sys file cause the BSoD follow the instructions at below link.

Fix dxgmms2.sys BSOD error on Windows 10 computer

I need you to install latest version of graphic card driver.

Please open the Command Prompt by typing cmd.exe into Start Menu, right-click on Cmd.exe, and open it as an administrator.

Execute below commands one at a time:

    Code:
    Sfc /Scannow

    Dism /Online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    Chkdsk C: /f

I just deleted it because I didnt want it running every minute consuming recourses even after disabling it.
Post used: cannot disable error reporting service

When rendering this is not something I want using 20% of my CPU.

If this is nescessary to fix this issue, I can repair it.

I will follow the steps, the code you've posted, will this delete any personal files?

    You can run
    chkdsk c: /scan
    - no restart required, no fixes applied.
It's normal otherwise to have it need to restart as you might expect. If you choose to do that then you get the results thus:
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10

    I ran the scan:
Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems.
    No further action is required.
