    Windows died pls help

Hi I just updated to Windows 10 from 8 and it was fine until a few days ago when I started getting 100% disk usage and my comp became so slow it was unusable. I tried to fix it but I couldn't with what I saw online and I think I disabled all the services by mistake. Now it only gets to the point where the login wud be but only shows that spinning circle thing and nothing more. Is the anyway I can reverse this?

Hi Brent555 and welcome to Tenforums.

Have you tried booting into safe mode to undo everything you did?

Hello Brent555 Welcome to the Ten Forums!

Besides looking into the suggestions made by simrock I could mention the finds here from reviewing the volume of buggy upgrades to 10 from the previous versions. Unfortunately most are totally unaware of an effective alternate route they can take to see 10 go on fresh without all the drama of trying to fix a mess! Clean Install Windows 10 Directly without having to Upgrade First - Windows 10 Forums

For not wanting revert back to 8.1 but still seeing almost everything preserved during the upgrade a second upgrade to repair the first isn't the recommendation for you. If 10 had been on for some time from a Clean Install that would be an option. Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - Windows 10 Forums

Since the upgrades not only to 10 from a previous version but in general often turn out problematic the clean install or reversion back would be the two options. For seeing a full clean install that will take the 10 media you can either download in ISO form from the Tech Bench Program's download page in either the 32bit or 64bit Dual Edtion(both Home and Pro wrapped up together) or using the Media Creation tool MS provides with four main options. 1)immediate online upgrade 2)Creation of usb media, 3)burn to blank dvd-r media and 4)save "Windows.iso" download to a local folder.

First note that Option #3 is no longer viable unless you have the dual density type blank dvd media that handles upto 8gb since the Tech Bench dual edition run over about 5.6gb while the "4 in 1" intended as a Windows Update for all 10 installs back in November is about 5.48gb on disk. For seeing those written to a flash drive you would want an 8gb drive. Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums

    Brent555,
Without knowing what else you had tried besides disabling "all the services by mistake", it's better off if you do a clean install.
