    What does Win 8 RTM Core OEM:DM mean?

    I have a ASUS computer that was preinstalled with Windows 8.1...
    What version of Windows 8 do I need to install...

    Your key is for 8.1. The Win 8 RTM is a different system. RTM = Release To Market.

    Basically - Windows Home.

    Download Windows 8.1:
    Windows 8

    Assuming your language is English (United Kingdom), when you run the tool:

Running on 1 core out of 4
Did anybody check Advanced Boot options in Msconfig. Seemed to me that my computer is booting too slow, checked those options and lo and behold it's been set to one core only. !!!! After fixing that it boots and run much faster.
