Cant change language to english
Hello my friend
I bought a new laptop here in japan
But Cant change my language to english
Also cant download language pack
Pls need help,,

Left click at Start button > Settings > Time & Language > left side, click Region & Language > right side, under Languages, click the + sign > scroll and find English > click it > select which English you want English (United Staes), English (United Kingdom), English (Canada) etc > click the selection >
You are now back on Time and language screen > click the English version you selected > click Option > language pack will be offered to you > install it.
When done, you will be back to Time & Language screen > right click the English > click Set as default.
You will have to restart the computer to initiate the switch from Japanese to English as display language.
You will find some items still carry Japanese language, but majority will be in English.
Hope this helps.
I used the same method to switch from English to Chinese as display language.

Hi sir david,
Ive already done that but still doesnt work
Cant download the language pack
dont know why,,
After i click the download it only takes a second to download
And i set my english language to default and sign out after that nothing change
When i come back and see again time and language setting
Again i see the download sign
And i download it again
And sign out
But still dsame
Dont know why

I'd like to know which Win 10 Home version do you have.
To find out.......
in your search bar next to the Start button, type winver > Enter.
The screen that opens up will show you which version you have, whether it is 10240 or 10586.
