The ISO's were updated on MSDN, according to Microsoft. en_windows_10_multiple_editions_version_1511_updated_feb_2016_x64_dvd_8379634.iso
    Something was changed or added?
Look at the servicepack build and servicepack level numbers. Those will indicate the minor version changes such as 122. If they are 0 - then you have 10586.0. Microsoft will change the version number of the installer (and sometimes ISO file name) to reflect an updated EULA or an internal change such as new languages that can be downloaded or installed with it - even when the base install Windows 10 build has not changed.

Both show 0 so I guess its just 10586.0 with something changed or added? I'll add a note to my first post.

Likely something added or changed to the setup/install programs, but not to the build of Windows 10 that gets installed.

Oh, well. I downloaded all the new ones and deleted my older copies. I am going to use one for an install in a day or two. If I notice anything different during setup I'll post back here.

You might want to do setup not connected to the internet first and see what base version it installs, then connect to the internet for activation and updating.

That's my plan. Otherwise it will just update in the background while I'm mucking about.

Does that DISM command do anything to the mounted ISO when you run it? I got a cannot open WIM file error message first time around. I had to redownload the ISO and redo my install thumb drive. May be just a coincidence? Have to ask though, it's the first time I've ever seen that error message. It's just doing the first reboot during setup. I'll check the version info and post it in a bit.

It doesn't do anything to the .wim file. I've checked .wim files with it before and did multiple installs from them afterwards.

Winver shows 10586.104 for the updated MSDN ISO. Clean install with no network connection.

EDIT: Looks like they rolled in the Feb 9 th update listed here , http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ory-windows-10 KB3135174
