Oh I get it Kari you prefer to just jump down my throat, and want to argue and belittle folks. I get THAT.
Again.....my statement was not invalid. The pictures folder IS the default folder, unless you change it, and that's what I posted.

    Have a Nice day ....Kari

Yes Ditendra you can save them on your desktop, why you have to refresh, the desktop, I don't know. Sorry about any confusion on my part, it was not intended. For that I am sorry. I was not trying to confuse you at all. I do apologize if I did.

    Take care, Mike.

Ditendra, I have run into this problem a few times and it wasn't just with the snipping tool. I have also had this problem with pictures I've downloaded to the desktop. If I went to file explorer and looked in the desktop folder they were there. When I looked at the desktop they didn't show. I never did find out why this only happens sometimes.

Yes I understood before, you need to REFRESH your desktop to see the screen shot that you just took. But I don't know how to fix the desktop to make it show without refreshing your screen. I'm sorry.

I save all mine in my picture folder, then just go to that folder and they are always there. That is easier for me. Again I'm sorry I couldn't help you with this problem.
    Take Care, Mike.

It seems more like a bug, hope Microsoft will fix it in their updates.

Yeah, I use it a lot too. We need to bring our voice to Microsoft to fix this bug
