    Adobe Deletions under Windows 10

I cannot delete any adobe pdf docs under windows 10. I receive the message something like "Action not allowed. File active elsewhere and cannot be deleted". Only way to delete them is to move files to thumb drive (USB) and delete off of that drive. Also when deleting other files with the left click or the delete key Windows Explorer goes to "not responding". On the way to Best Buy to get a Mac. Windows 10 is killing my business.

Hello and welcome to win10 forums ,,make sure Adobe if fully shut down ,before trying to delete files ,best time to try deleting the files is as soon as you turn on the computer and open any apps ,
,and try not bad mouth win10 when your looking for help ,,and I own a mac and really like using it ,enjoy you shopping trip to Best-Buy ,have to say I have never enjoyed any of my shopping to BestBuy ,Sales people are to pushy,[trying to sell extras I don't want or need ] and lie a lot just to make the sale

    Thanks

Thanks, appreciate the reply. Sorry for the "bad mouth" but am really frustrated operationally. This adobe question one of many. Outlook is really slow and takes sometimes 10 minutes to come up in the morning if I turn off the PC at night. Tend to leave it on all night.

some 3rd party apps like Adobe can be a nuisance for sure , for it not to let you remove the files because they are in use ,it must think or they must be in use,,so for me it always allowed me to achieve things like that on a reboot ,Outlook,do you mean Microsoft office ,outlook email app

I use Nuance and it runs a lot better then Adobe. If your system is running like a snail, a process could be locking things up.

McAfee and Norton are really bad about locking the system up, until they are done scanning for any nasties.

Outlook can also lock up on certain email servers. Gmail has gotten really bad with their imap servers locking up.

    Outlook

The Outlook email. I went to their W10 Mail and got confused on how to set up my 5 different email addresses (2 personal and 3 business). So I am staying with the Outlook Mail. I just have to have patience with it coming up. Problem is that after 61 years in the DP/IT/IS business I lack a lot of patience.

Do not use the Mail app for Windows 10. Use Thunderbird. A lot more lightweight and not a resource hog like the apps are.

Outlook is no longer a Enterprise type CRM like it used to be. It is now more for Social Media and home users. Office 2010 was the last real suite that Microsoft developed. 2013, 2016 & 365 are motr bloated and more resource dependent.

Thanks for the "Thunderbird" note. Why doesn't MS tell people these things when they are dumping product because it underperforms?

perhaps because the new one works, just not the way some of us want it to work ,, people have always complained about Microsoft mail apps, thunderbird has been around for 10 or more years now ,it nothing new ,,,
