    Blackscreen after repair mode

    Hello everyone,

very recently, I updated my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, but I wasn't quite convinced, so I decided to switch it back to 8.1.

I followed instructions where I was told to write "shutdown /r /o" inside the CMD to reboot in repair mode. I was also told to close all the programs the laptop was running (which were Firefox, OneNote and Reader), but I forgot that.

In the repair mode, I somehow decided to give Win10 another chance and chose normal startup, but now I get a black screen after booting. Every single time.

    Can anybody help me, please?

Find a working computer > download the ISO > burn it to a bootable media such as DVD or USB > take it to the Lenovo and do a Clean Install using this tutorial....................
    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1...n-install.html

Step 1 of the tutorial will show you how to download the ISO file and how to create a bootable media.

So you think the OS is irrepairably broken? And if so, is it possible to install Windows 8.1 anyways? I'm seriously fed up with Win10 by now...

If you have Win8/8.1 product key, you can use this link to download your version of Win 8.1 iso file > then burn it to a bootable media.
Use it to do a Clean Install.

Ok, everything's fine now. I just waited for eight hours (which I used to get some sleep; it was 5 a. m. in my country) and tried it again. And for incomprehensible reasons, it worked.

I am writing this message from my laptop.

The only problem now is, that some apps are broken.
