How to delete duplicate system folders?

I think I downloaded a .reg file from internet that created double system folders in my computer but I can't remember. They seem to be an extra music, videos, documents, pictures and downloads folder but I cannot put any files in the folder. Anyone know how to delete them? There's also a strange name in address bar when I open one of the folders. Also, when I click start and then click a folder liek videos folder then nothing happens.

Hello and welcome to TenForums :)

There is a tutorial that describes how you can delete or restore these folders here:
    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/6...dows-10-a.html

Might be worth trying these methods to see if you can restore them.

Thanks for your reply, that link didn't work for some reason. I restarted explorer and restarted computer after using the .reg file but my "this pc" still looks like this:

Not to necro an old thread, but just wanted to say that these .reg fixes worked for me, with this very issue, on build 18362.592.

Got a brand new machine, built yesterday, and while Windows 10 updated, suddenly I could no longer rename or move folders, so downloaded a .reg file off the web that did fix it, but it also created this double non-functional folders. But the above fix got rid of them and I assume I can put back the ones I want, if I ever decide I need them.

    Yes.

Just one observation though. The icons that this thread is about appear to be folders but they are not - they are a special type of shortcut.
    - The heading "Folders" above them means "Here are some special shortcuts to particular folders".
    - The targets of these shortcuts are the user folders that are, by default, inside C:\Users\%UserName%
I thought I'd mention this in the hope of avoiding any confusion down the line.
