... I would Imagen that Cosco would use SRGB (never use labs myself do all my own printing) If your post processing software is colour managed then you need to set the colour space to SRGB once you have edited your images...
Because of my cursory knowledge of this subject, I find this statement confusing. I am under the assumption that if I set my monitor profile to sRGB (I do have sRGB profiles loaded in Windows 10), AND then edit the image, and then send it to a lab that uses sRGB, I'd be all set. My reasoning is that the sRGB on my monitor will come out the same in print. Obviously, this interpretation is wrong, but i don't know why.

I believe that Faststone will allow for color-space control, as I think it is found here. And if it is, you are suggesting that I first edit the image on a calibrated monitor (using Windows 10 SRGB profile or ColorMunki profile) and then check "Enable CMS..." before before copying to a disk for lab printing???

Looks like a very helpful article. I'll be going in for shoulder joint replacement surgery on Tuesday, and won't be able to use my camera for a while, but figure I'll have plenty of time to delve into the article and finally get the hang of this issue. Thanks...
