I connected a old but still working cathode-ray tube monitor to the new PC. Still the same problem. Computer is a Acer, see link. Acer Aspire TC Intel i7 Quad-Core Desktop - Woot
Here is a link to the instructions for access to the recovery partition on Acer. See if you can access that partition and recover the installation. I'm going to venture a guess here and say it may well have been a vid driver update from Windows Update that has done this to you.
You can test that by disconnecting your internet before you try the recovery, so that no drivers will be downloaded from WU. You can follow the initial instructions on that link without need to see anything and if you get access to the recovery partition, it should (I hope) be running on VGA drivers and you will get a limited but functioning display to see to continue. Pending your success so far, I would disable the updating of any hardware drivers from WU. This is done by right click on start button and selecting control panel>icons>system>advanced system settings>hardware tab>device installation settings tab>select "no" and ok out.
I will monitor this thread and be available for any questions. Good luck. PS: If after you try to access the recovery partition, you find there isn't one there, I would immediately call the Co you purchased it from and get them to make it right.
Edit: I read that link some more and traced it back to the referenced article which gives better info: http://www.pctechbytes.com/acer/acer...very-partition

the Acer support pages should have the utility right there available for seeing the recovery media made up as well as found in the prepackaged OEM "bloatwares" being the operative label most give the factory wares. Once you have that ready to go on live media you can try the live recovery even Reset PC option found in the 10 recovery options while the factory recovery preserves the non 10 stuff. Personally on a new 10 laptop bought last month to replace the one that went I seem to have made the system image a little bit after some of those bloatware tiles went missing for some reason off of the Start menu! "aawww... you didn't did you?!" "Sure did!" and that was a brand new machine there!

This was the one you told me you had http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/DT.SXNAA.029

When i look for it under support and find Aspire TC-705 the picture looks different from the listed model above in the link.

So getting support on page is a bit confused, but below on this link is your contact info.If 30 days or less send it back to place you bought it. GPU is built into the CPU if no slot card.

The limited warranty on any Acer Recertified machine is good for 90 days. Often you will only see a 30 day dealer warranty on anything used while a factory recert tends to see a bit more protection at times. At least now you have the two links as well as the toll free number to call for the recert support. Support | Acer Recertified

The general support page which includes the Acer Care Center as well as auto detect or manually searching for the model numbe is seen at Service & Support | Acer Official Site

And the Acer Care Center download has it's own compatibility checker. Acer Care Center

That will include the Recovery Management Acer incorporates into the app there. Since you haven't been able to boot into the Acer preinstalled 10 to get at the RM there you will need the fresh download or end up contacting support as far as recoverying the factory install. Otherwise you know the drill about getting the Media Creation tool or the Tech Bench downloads pointed to in the guide. Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums

Regardless of trying the Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - Windows 10 Forums or a full Clean Install on the second drive that could effect the 90 day warranty as seeing it voided out on you.

GOOD! Glad to hear they got that resolved for you under the warranty rather then seeing you stuck with a problem story!
