    Make the File Explorer shortcut in taskbar show only the drives


    When opening it i don't want to see Frequent folders and files, how can i change it so i can see only the drives?

    Hi @klappa,

    You could collapse the 'Folders' portion with the small arrow:

    Was it that simple! Thanks a bunch! This was never an option in Windows 8 i believe.

File explorer only displays my C and D (DVD) drives when launched. I have two other hard drives with two partitions each which do not get displayed under 'This PC'. I landed up 'pinning' the drive letters under 'Quick access'. I spent a lot of time...
I'd been using this method on Windows 7: Windows Explorer Taskbar Icon - Change Open To Target And I take it that this is how it's done in 8: File Explorer Taskbar Icon - Change Open To Target Will the latter tutorial also work here in 10?
