He has some interesting reviews of all kinds of subjects. Definitely worth reading - not only for the IT sections.
Agree with that - I've read some good ones in the past. This one wasn't great but got him his clicks I guess.

That doesn't make sense. The reason why some users switch to local account is so that they can completely shut Cortana, Bing , etc. down. I am one of them. Actually, you can disable Cortana even with a Microsoft account on. I also installed Classic Shell to have a start menu that I am comfortable with.
I just installed Classic Shell myself, after changing back to the Start Screen. I like it better than the native Start Menu.
I hope that you installed the Beta Version 4.2.0 (with Win 10 support) and NOT the Stable Version 4.1.0.

With Classic Shell, you don't really remove the native start menu. You can go back to it anytime with the included shortcut.

Yes, I did install the newest beta version. Using that link in the Classic Shell menu will take you to either the the Start Screen or the new Start Menu depending on which UI I am currently running. So will the Windows key or the shift Windows key.

You are trying to install Version 4.1.0 which does not support Win 10. You need to download and install Classic Shell Beta Version 4.2.0 to make it work.
    Thanks for the tip badrobot.

I was just checking out statements in the article.

I specifically ignored the beta version when I went to the site to download Classic Shell.
It seemed like a good idea not to run beta software on a beta OS.

The W10 Start Menu is adequate.

That is true for a more complicated programs like AV, etc. It's only a start menu anyway.

Actually, I'm running a couple of betas on Windows 10 Build 9926; the Office for Windows 10 and another NDA beta I can't tell y'all about. Just for grins, I may just try this one too.

Yep, I'm a glutton for punishment, but so far, everything is playing nice.
