Not to confuse this issue, but I wanted to hook up my xp machine and my (then)W8 machine to use the same monitors in duel display. On monitor #1 I have a DVI connection to the W8 machine and the VGA connection to the xp machine. On monitor #2 I have the reverse connection. I have a one in and two out switch for the keyboard/mouse, Ctrl C will auto switch between systems. Of course, only one system up at a time. Works without issue in extended mode.

My question was pertaining to the use dual printer profiles.

A monitor profile sets up the monitor to display exactly what the printer will produce WYSIWYG. It corrects brightness, contrast, white balance and colors. Printer profiles correct for what type of paper is to be used. I don't think it has anything to do with resolution.

I've no idea whether this thread is about multiple monitors or printers now. Please restate your question.
