no all notices are clickable ,I just had one that read update was successful ,so there is no need for that to be click able , just hit the X and its gone
not? all notices are clickable ?????
Oh Correcting my typing now are we ,

i get notices that are just that ,notices ,a click on it does nothing ,but i get some that i can click on and it takes me to a box to type in how i like this or that .
Not at all caper, I was asking if you meant not all instead of no all

no all : means they are all clickable
not all : means some are not clickable

    See the question marks?
    Typos - everyone makes those.

but if I were the type to correct someone's typing, I'd mention .... nah I'm not the type

Thanks for the amplification and clarification.

this is what I assume the OP is refereeing to
YES ... and in my case, NONE of the notifications in that area are "clickable". Am asking if that is by design.

I get a popup in the taskbar telling me I have new notifications, I click the icon in the taskbar, the Notifications area opens, I click the newest of the notifications there -- and nothing happens. Maybe, that's how it's supposed to work!
    I've only received three notifications:
    1) update successful - not clickable, just a notification
    2) insider How do you like the taskbar - click, a survey 'page' opens (rate 1-5) with comments box
    3) I forget what the third one was, but it was not clickable.

Update: I logged in a few minutes ago and a new notification was shown -- about the Security and Maintenance Center. It said to "click here" for details -- which I did (repeatedly) and like before, nothing happened. So, I used Control Panel to open the Security and Maintenance Center to see the messages.

If this is how the new Notifications tool is supposed to work it is a waste of time!

In my case, the Notification panel stopped popping up at all. I had to do a quick image recovery to fix it. There may be a solution but image recovery is a much quicker way. :)

I thik the new notification / Action center is going to be a nice feature. Lots of things don't work yet (notifications and action center items ).

The control tiles at the bottom are workable but need a bit more work. Airplane mode and Wifi still report on teh trays. I've clicked those thinking they'll turn on /off the feature, but then remember that I have to open the Notification center.

You can arrange the action tiles (charm replacement) in Settings - > Notification (the plain looking icons at the top select the item and postition -needs more work though).

If you mean the icon in the system tray, all that does for me is allow me to open the Action Center or delay notifications.

When I open the Action Center, for any of the notifications -- right-click, left-click, double-click -- ALL do the same thing -- NOTHING.
