Because, I don't really like the dual boot configuration. If I do a dual boot, will I be able to get it off dual boot when the Technical Preview expires. If so, I will need help with that.

Download and install Speccy it will tell you a lot about the hardware (the specs) of your pc.

Then use Dude`s tutorial to fill in your specs at the bottom left corner of your posts.

I am sorry about that AddRAM. I have used Speccy, and it never loads on my system. The same thing goes for that other program that I cant think of right now. My desktop is an Acer Aspire AXC-603G-UW12 with Windows 8.1 64-bit. (1 TB Hard Drive).

Sounds like a plan. That will give you plenty of time to figure out how to create a system image of your Win7 or Win8 machine and do your data backups.

And you can poke around here learning about Win10 as other members test it.

Bill, the portable version doesn't work either. I had my 8.1 desktop worked on by Acer recently, because it wouldn't sleep right, would shut itself down, and wouldn't shut down when I asked it to. So, I don't know if that has something to do with it or not. Do you know of another one I can try? There is another one that I have tried, and it wont work either. I cant think of the name of it.

Can you post a screenshot of Disk Management showing Disk List View, (as per my pic), so we can see your partition style.
That would be a good place to start to see what we are up against.



Make sure to capture it full screen and expand all fields so it shows exactly what you have.

Which ever one has the more user friendly BIOS!
In all seriousness though, go for the Desktop PC, it's probably got more space, less features and drivers to contend with, etc.

Also, how old is the machine?
A couple of things that tick me off are this Unified BIOS, OEM OS's and embedded product keys nonsense! And, every manufacturer machine is different. You can run into a lot of glitches in this respects!
