My windows 10 start menu under all apps seems to be busted , i click all apps and they listed as they should be A to Z , but when i right click the only option i get is "Pin to start" and nothing else , i am the only user on this machine and i am the admin and i need to fix this asap as i need the " open file location" option . Any help would be great

The Open file location selection can be found from More submenu:

Notice that the Open file location selection is not available for the Windows Store apps, including the native Windows apps like Camera, Calculator, Mail, Weather and so on.

One question, is it the same with the tiles? Or do you get more options there?

Have you tried system file checker? sfc /scannow in an admin command prompt? Or better yet follow these instructions:

You can try fixing things, by copy & pasting the following in an Admin Command Prompt:

    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\&fsutil usn deletejournal /d /n c:&Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup&&sfc /scannow&Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth&sfc /scannow&Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase&pause

    And let it run through.
Then reboot and run it again, to check if it cleaned and fixed everything.
It may take awhile depending on your hardware(HDD or SSD),
and it may appear to freeze at 20% on the third part,
just be patient and let in run out.

    Hi.
Did the system come with W10 or is this an upgrade?
If an upgrade, from what OS, and how (procedure)?
Has this always been a problem, or has it just happened recently?
If it just happened recently, what changes were made to the system around the time it appeared?
Can you revert to a restore point to a time before the problem appeared?
If nothing else, you could try an in-place upgrade to effect a repair install.

Worth testing also is making another account and see if it happens there also.

That would tell you if your apps are corrupted or your account.
