Some core apps like store etc not working

I am experiencing issues with some core apps alike store, calculator, contacts etc. The live tile is showing these apps with title like @{Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.... etc.
I tried to reinstall the apps via admin powershell but it stops with error

Hi, the only known way currently is to do an in-place repair install. The powershell command that used to be used to reinstall/re-register these now breaks them in build 10586.

This has been repeatedly encountered and reported here.
    Please see:
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - Windows 10 Forums
    - will disable system restore
    - will keep all progs & data
    - may lose the odd association
    - may need to reconnect WiFi

Or of course restore a known good image :)
