Folder(s) Not Showing On Desktop ?

    Hello,

I have one or two Folders that I just cannot seem to get to appear
    on my Desktop.

They show in the Files listing just fine, the way they should.
Nothing that I can think of is anything special about them.

Also, in their Path, the last item is \Desktop.

If I create a shortcut, and put the shortcut on the Desktop, clicking on it works just fine.

So, I imagine that they certainly should ?

Any thoughts as to "why," and what I can do to make them show up would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Bob

Hi, can you quote the exact path to the files?
Conversely, what happens if you create a folder on the desktop, then move that to the folder? Do they then appear on the desktop display?
Can you see other files or folders you see on the desktop in that folder?

You could try setting 'auto arrange' on your desktop. (Rt click desktop, View, select Auto arrange)

    From OP: Requested Info.

    Hi,
    Thanks, as always, for help.

    Auto Arrange doesn't help.
All other Folders on Desktop look normal.
Here's the Path to the one that won't show on the Desktop:

As I mentioned, a Shortcut to the Folder placed on the Desktop works fine.

    Best regards,
    Bob

Must have something to do with this being in File History which a built-in backup method for Win 10.Copy the folder itself to the Desktop, does that work?

That makes it clear.. the path isn't to your desktop folder.
    That is
    C:\Users\<from your userid>\Desktop
    or
    %userprofile%\desktop
