    Windows 10 ISO Download

    Hello.
I downloaded the Windows 10 ISO from the Microsoft ISO download page.
I downloaded the 64 bit version and was prompted to pick Home or Pro during install.
The selection I made was Home.
The Activation has not been done yet.
My question is, is this a Retail or OEM install?
I am assuming it is a Retail install. The price presented was 119 dollars.
    Thanks.

If you purchased Windows 10 from Microsoft then it is retail version. Microsoft does not sell OEM versions to individuals because it violates Microsoft's terms and conditions for individuals to use OEM versions for personal purposes.

    Thanks a lot.
I had a feeling that may be the case.
They probably wanted Company info. etc.
    Have a blessed new year.

I have it installed on 10 computers at my house and it is the best version of Windows I have used and I started upgrading computers from DOS 6.2 to Windows 3.1.

I would have to say that XP, Win 7, and now Win 10 are the good ones.
I have not used Win NT or 2000.
95, 98 were fun for games.
Dos was cool to me because of its simplicity.

After I active Home edition, should I go for a fresh install or upgrade to Pro using the same DVD?
I know that upgrades can be a pain and a fresh install is better.
I would rather buy a Pro Retail license anyway and buy another HDD.
Outside of gaming, I wonder if there is a lot of need for Pro if I am running 3D Animation software?
    Thanks.

Just stick with 10 Pro x64, if you have the ability to upgrade RAM on your motherboard.

Also lets you tweak the policies for say no lock screen, etc.
